Build up roots with Volunteer LSU! Join us on March 25th from 9 am-4 pm. We will carpool out to Akers, LA and spend the day planting 500 native fresh and brackish water plants in Lake Maurepas.
The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana is a non-profit organization whose mission is to drive bold, science-based action to rebuild Coastal Louisiana through outreach, restoration and advocacy. Recognizing that Louisiana’s coastal land-loss will have dramatic impacts on the nation’s energy, navigation and fisheries interests, CRCL works at the state, local and federal level to ensure that restoring and protecting coastal Louisiana is a top priority for our state and the nation. In addition to their role as advocate and watchdog, they also serve as responsible stewards of Louisiana’s rich coastal wetlands. They facilitate and fund actual restoration projects through their Habitat Restoration Program and we work diligently to raise awareness and educate others about the importance of preserving and restoring coastal Louisiana.
We will carpool an hour South East of Baton Rouge to Akers, LA.
Lunch will be provided.
