Event Time and Date
Military operations often lead to a great amount of energy loss since soldiers in the field are often unable to consume enough calories during their missions. This can negatively impact soldiers, potentially leading to reduced physical performance, mainly from the loss of lean body mass (muscle) and a drop in testosterone levels. Long-term energy deficit can also impact mood, attention, and decision-making. To address these issues, Pennington Biomedical is teaming up with the U.S. Department of Defense to study ways to improve warfighter health, performance, and recovery. We will enroll up to 60 physically active men to participate in this study.
Participants can earn up to $6,000 for participation in this study.
